The primary issue with LGBTQ individuals has been thought to be homosexuality.  Nevertheless, the main problem is in fact, most often homophobia.  Homophobia involves society’s irrational fear, aversion, and discrimination of non-heterosexual or LGBTQ individuals.

We work in therapy with individuals of different sexual orientations, genders, cultures, and ethnicities.  We empower and encourage individuals that are coming out to understand and build strategies to cope with homophobia and be a powerful force in the face of society’s discrimination and biases.  We also educate and teach adaptive coping techniques to family members and friends of non-heterosexual (LGBTQ) individuals about the societal problem of homophobia.
